Dj / Producer/ lighting designer, producing various different kinds of music, promoting events and Djing in Chamonix (France).
Chris first worked with Dreadzone in 2002 at the Melkweg in Amsterdam and has done various video and music edits for them, over the years. He started out doing lights and djing at the marquee club soho in 1989. His musical training came from growing up with Ronnie Lane (Small Faces) who his mum was with and nursed through MS, from 1981-88. They spent a lot of time at Glyn Jones and Kenny Jones' studios in Horsham, where Ronnie wrote, recorded and rehearsed. Chris says "My reaction to seeing a 48 track studio was typical of any 7 year old and have been pushing faders and tweaking knobs ever since!"
His first set up was an Akai s950 with an atari on top of Ian McLagon's Hammond organ in his bedroom in Kentish Town! Like most people in this industry he had a day job to make ends meet which was lighting design and has toured the world with Skin, Fishbone, The Waterboys, Sham 69, St. Etienne.... as well as designing clubs such as Fabric, Cafe de Paris and the Camden Palace. |
